Curriculum

St Vincents Special School provides a broad curriculum that encourages and facilitates the development of each child to his or her full potential. Each child has a school support plan & individual Behaviour Support Plan/Risk Assessment Plan.

Depending on our students age and level of ability, there are three possible curriculums taught to students in our school currently. We continue to work with the Department of Education to establish clear guidelines and methods of best practice regarding the delivery of certain aspects of the New Primary and Post Primary Curriculum for students with special needs.

Post Primary Curriculum: Junior Cycle Level 1 and 2, Senior Cycle Level 1 and 2 Learning Programmes

New curriculum subjects of note include but are not limited to:

- Horticulture

- Music

- Looking after my environment

- Personal Care and Wellbeing
